Enabling push notifications in the app gives you visibility on diary creations and updates by members of your organisation. You may need to enable these in the settings on your phone first. By tapping the bell icon from the home page you will then be brought to a list of notifications for monitoring diary entries. 

Tapping on a diary entry will bring up the details of that entry. You then have the option of editing the diary entry, this will then create a new notification for that diary being updated to other users in your organisation.
